    Resumen:
    El objetivo de este artículo es presentar y discutir los métodos morfológicos y métricos más importantes que se utilizan en el estudio de los restos humanos que han sido quemados o que están calcinados. Estos métodos tienen varios propósitos: la reconstrucción del perfil biológico de los individuos, la reconstrucción de las alteraciones térmicas y la identificación de prácticas culturales relacionadas con la manipulación de los restos humanos en los rituales funerarios.

    Abstract:
    The objective of this article is to present and discuss the most important morphological and metric methods used in the study of human remains that have been burned or that are calcined. These methods have several purposes: the reconstruction of the biological profile of individuals, the reconstruction of thermal alterations and the identification of cultural practices related to the manipulation of human remains in funeral rituals.
